Nathan's Walk N'Roll has been organized by family and friends of Nathan Matuszewicz, an 8 year old boy who passed away unexpectedly in 1999 with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. PPH is a rare disease that causes high blood pressure in the artery from the heart to the lungs, symptoms are shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, and can lead to heart failure.Family members are hoping to raise awareness of this very rare disease. The money raised will go into a scholarship fund to help a student in the Animal Science field at University of Kentucky. It will also go to help patients with PPH that do not have the resources to get the proper medical attention. Family members are wanting to make this disease more well known so that people who may have this can get the proper medical attention before it is too late.
