The Humane Society of Southern Illinois is a SPCA that takes in 5,000 lost, homeless & orphaned animals a year. We turn away no one. HSSI also provides a low cost spay/neuter program called Pennies for Pets that has helped over 2,000 animals get "fixed" since 1997. We have been helping people and animals in our poor, rural Southern Illinois region for over 50 years.
