The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is the state's only professional theatre company dedicated to the presentation of Shakespeare's canon and other classic dramatic masterworks for the cultural enrichment of the community. The Theatre's mission places an equal focus on education ? both for young artists and young audiences. We strive to nurture emerging new talent for the American stage by providing an excellent training ground for students of the theatre, as well as to cultivate an audience for the future by providing extensive outreach opportunities for students across New Jersey. Through our work, we endeavor to promote literacy, civilization, community, cultural awareness, the theatrical tradition, and a more enlightened view of the world we live in and the people with whom we share it.
