Cause Description:
NAMI Montgomery County’s mission is improving the quality of life for those impacted by mental illness in Montgomery County. Our free peer-driven programs provide education and support for individuals living with mental illness, their families and caregivers and combat the stigma of mental illness in the community. We involve our constituents in advocacy at the county, state, and national level and promote mental health programs that are focused on hope and recovery. NAMI MC provides a continuum of services for people living with mental illness and their families. NAMI MC is a network people committed to improving their own lives or the lives of their loved ones. NAMI MC is a community – through volunteer opportunities, fundraisers , and advocacy we hope to create a critical mass of individuals dedicated to fighting stigma of mental illness.
