Cause Description:
We are a non-profit support group for people in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area of Iowa who have or will have a temporary or permanent bowel or urinary diversion. Our local chapter meets bi-monthly to share experiences, provide mutual support, and learn about the latest ostomy information and products. Meetings involve informal round-table discussions on topics of interest, new product demonstrations, occasional guest speakers, and a question and answer session with one of the local Wound and Ostomy Care (WOC) nurses. Caregivers, spouses, children, and friends of patients are always welcome to attend.
