Cause Description:
We are a network of volunteers who foster and rescue rabbits from our local shelter and community. We also educate people about rabbits and their care; adopt rabbits to responsible homes; set up mobile adoptions within our community; advocate on behalf of rabbits; assist people within the community in caring for and rescuing abandoned rabbits; pay for medical care when needed, including spay or neuter surgery; and are involved in pet therapy with youth "at risk", special needs children and elderly people. Our primary shelter is the Contra Costa County Animal Services in Martinez, although we work with the larger rescue community as well as individuals from other counties and are always looking for fosterers to join our network.
