Cause Description:
STAAR is a no kill, all volunteer, non-profit animal rescue and adoption agency founded in 2005 for the purpose of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming stray and abandoned animals. We are currently working with mostly cats and kittens, but hope to eventually be able to rescue more dogs and puppies as well. We show our cats and kittens in the adoption center at PetSmart in Arlington Heights, IL on the corner of Rand Rd and Arlington Heights Rd seven days a week. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. We do not have a physical shelter, therefore we depend on volunteer foster homes to hold our animals in their homes until they are ready for adoption.
