Cause Description:
Mission Statement: As an all volunteer organization, we are dedicated to improving the lives of the American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier and Pit Bull type dogs and restoring their image. We will improve their lives and restore a positive image through outreach, education, initiation of offering a spaying/neutering program for families who adopt or already own a Pit Bull type dog, and educating the community about responsible pet ownership. We rescue Pit Bulls that are abused, neglected, and that have ended up in high-kill shelters throughout the state of Texas. We are not a shelter; all of our dogs are placed into a foster care program where they will be kept indoors, socialized, housebroken, and taught basic obedience lessons. We would love to save every Pit Bull that ends up in a Texas shelter, but realistically, we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families. Responsible foster homes are one of the most important roles of this organization and without foster families we will not be able to exist. Vision Statement: Don’t BULLY Me Rescue envisions a world in which the American Pit Bull Terrier and all Pit Bull type dogs are free from neglect, abuse and discrimination. We strive to reduce the number of this breed in shelters across the state of Texas.
