Our Mission: We, The Community of Holy Rosary and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, are a diverse welcoming family of Christians, who worship in an African American and traditional style. Led by the Holy Spirit, we serve God by proclaiming and living the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in word and action: evangelizing, ministering to those in need, and nourishing the shared faith, hope, and love for which we are created as children of God. In addition to Mass and Sunday School, we have many social service programs: - St. John Food Pantry (serves over 8,000 per year) - youth programs (including a summer program on gardening for youth and a yearly School Supplies Giveaway) - senior programs - helping neighbors at Thanksgiving and Christmas - Martin Luther King Day Celebration - the St. John Center, a former school that is now a community center and houses other social service organizations that grew out of the parish
