Cause Description:
MIA Recoveries are Clayton Kuhles' "ongoing expeditions in Burma, India, Bangladesh and China to locate and document missing-in-action (MIA) Allied aircraft lost in that area of Asia during World War II. I attempt to account for the MIA military personnel who were aboard these aircraft when they mysteriously disappeared. My MIA search expeditions have been 100% self-funded, with a typical one-month expedition costing me approximately $15,000. I need outside funding to continue these highly successful searches. My search expeditions usually last 1 month, but sometimes stretch into two months. I’ve been able to reach and document a missing aircraft every 1-2 weeks during an expedition. So a one-month expedition will typically yield two or three MIA aircraft. I hope you will agree with me that recovering the remains of these long-missing Americans is a very worthy humanitarian project that needs to be pursued."
